ABOUT US

The Ballston Spa Committee on the Arts was established in 2020. Our mission is to foster and advance the artistic and creative efforts in the Village’s public spaces in order to enrich and enhance the quality of life in our community.

Our committee has three primary roles. 

First, we initiate and implement public art projects that benefit the community. Examples of those projects include:
● Planter Art
● Tiny Crafting Library
● Summer Concert Series

Second, we are the gateway to Village approval for local artists that are interested in installing art in public spaces (e.g., public parks, village buildings, street poles, sidewalks) in Ballston Spa.
● If you are applying for funding through Saratoga Arts, or other funding sources, for a project that involves space owned by the Village, please see our Grants Information page
● Regardless of funding source, if you are interested in proposing a project for Ballston Spa, please see our Project Applications page
 

And Third, we foster a dynamic and diverse arts scene in Ballston Spa. We have active collaborations with local artists, businesses, individuals and organizations to further this goal. Examples of our ongoing efforts include:

We welcome and encourage everyone who is interested in advancing the arts in Ballston Spa to attend our meetings, held on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of every month at 7:00pm, in the Community Room at the Ballston Spa Library. Please contact us with questions and/or suggestions.
